Organised by the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), the Racial Diversity & Inclusion Employers Award Scheme recognises organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to racial equality and inclusion in the workplace. The awards honour companies that cultivate racially inclusive workplaces, establish standards for good practices and advocate for the benefits of diversity within and beyond their organisations.
The awards include three categories:
Racial Equity in Hiring Award: To reward employers who have actively and successfully incorporated recruitment practices to improve racial diversity in their workplaces, with particular attention to promoting equal employment opportunities for disadvantaged racial groups.
Inclusive Workplace Award: To reward employers who have successful initiatives in place to promote racial inclusion among their diverse workforce.
Community Engagement Award: To reward employers for their community-based initiatives that have had significant impact in promoting racial inclusion and diversity in Hong Kong.
An award ceremony is scheduled for 21 November 2025 at HKEX Connect Hall to honour the recipients. This event will provide an opportunity to recognise their achievements and motivate others by sharing best practices. The EOC is honoured to have the Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr. Sun Yuk-han, Chris, JP, officiate the event, as well as Ms Shalini Mahtani and Ms Elizabeth Thomson participate in the chit-chat session.
