The World Diamond Congress is the diamond industry’s most important global gathering, held every two years by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA). It brings together the industry’s leadership to reflect on the challenges and changes of recent years - and to shape what comes next.
First convened in Antwerp in 1947, the Congress has grown into a high-level forum for open, strategic discussion across the diamond trade. From miners to manufacturers, traders to retailers, it is where the industry comes together to modernise and strengthen the diamond journey - from mine to finger.
Traditionally hosted in the world’s major diamond centres - including Antwerp, Dubai, Mumbai, New York, Shanghai and Tel Aviv - the Congress returns to Singapore in 2026. The Diamond Exchange of Singapore (DES) last hosted the 24th World Diamond Congress in 1988, welcoming more than 600 delegates in what became a landmark edition. We are proud to host the Congress once again, 38 years on, during Singapore’s 60th year of independence. And to bring together voices from across the industry to tackle shared challenges.
The Organising Committee of the 41st World Diamond Congress is committed to delivering a defining event - one that is thoughtful, forward-looking, and worthy of the moment.
