The Future of Medical Products Regulation
The Department of Health (DH) and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) are proud to co-host the Medical Products Regulation (MPR) Symposium on 3 February 2026. The establishment of MPR will create a pathway to directly approve applications for registration of medical products in Hong Kong based on clinical trial data, without relying on registration approval from other drug regulatory authorities. The collaboration between DH and HKSTP aims to foster the development of industries relating to the research and development and clinical trials of medical products. These developments aim to accelerate Hong Kong's biomedical industry to speed up patients’ access. Let's gather together to witness this pivotal milestone in Hong Kong's evolution as a leading international health and medical innovation hub.
