This book, consisting of 13 poems from the collection "The Constant Emotions Between People" and the short story "Dream of the Wheat Field", explores how even as people form close relationships, they often still feel a sense of loneliness. It tells a story of love, sacrifice, and escape. Through complex imagery, secretive poetry, detached settings, and the silence between characters, it reflects the alienation and solitude in people's daily connections.
Tonight, ZtoryTeller and Chubb are hosting a Pop-up Cocktail Bar Book & Wine Night at ztoryhome, featuring Cyrus Lam's "Dream of the Wheat Field". The event will include the author sharing the creative process, as well as opportunities to read poetry and enjoy cocktails inspired by the book, creating an evening blending books, poetry, and drinks.
