The end of two decades of deflation and wage growth have improved the prospects of the Japanese economy. In addition, Japan is experiencing a wave of ongoing corporate reform that affects companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the most significant development in the Japanese equity market in many years. This bodes well for profit margins and with it the outlook for Japanese equities, especially Japanese small cap equities, which are well positioned to reap the benefits from the slew of changes.
