Reaching its 13th edition, the Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) are again co-organising the Hong Kong Green Building Week (HKGBW) this year, continuing the objectives of raising public awareness on green building development and sustainable lifestyle. The campaign will be organised in partnership with cross-sector partners and supporting organisations including the construction and development industry, education sector and green groups at the community level, so that all walks of life in the city will be involved and take part in the local green building development. We believe that the campaign plays a vital role in driving the general public to go green and create a liveable and sustainable city.

Let's GOAL! Biz-Green Dress Day

The Biz-Green Dress Day will be launched on 3 September (Wednesday) to encourage the business community to adopt a greener workplace and explore how they can utilise green building features.

Let's GOAL! Biz-Green Outfits Social Media Challenge

The Organisers cordially invites all companies and organisations to participate in the "Let's GOAL! Biz-Green Outfits Social Media Challenge" from 20 August to 4 September*. Share your work attire inspired by the four Biz-Green colours on social media to promote comfort while reducing air-conditioning energy consumption. Let’s work together to reduce carbon emissions in our daily lives!

To participate, please:

• Dress light and recruit your colleagues to take a group photo, demonstrating the 4 colours in Biz-Green Outfits and/or with props and/or graphic design
• Upload the photos to your company's social media platform(s) – LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram, you are welcomed to join on more than one platform
• Add required text, tags and hashtags (please download the e-Poster and the Communications Plan HERE) 

Winning companies and organisations will be invited to attend the Kick-Off Ceremony of HKGBW 2025 this September as a token of recognition. Photos of the awarded companies will also be featured in our Biz-Green Dress Day 2025 Highlight Video. Join the challenge now and help drive behavioural change!

*The deadline for the "Let's GOAL! Biz-Green Outfits Social Media Challenge" is at 12:00 noon on 4 September.
