Amazon’s Chief Technology Officer & Vice President since 2005 — he joined Amazon in 2004 and has been instrumental in driving its technology evolution, above all in cloud computing and Amazon’s customer-obsessed technology vision.

- Research scientist at Cornell University (1994–2004), contributing to distributed systems
